I like to paint powerful women, That's why when I paint the eyes I think of the feelings I'm trying to convey in the painting, usually power, sensuality, bitchiness, intelligence or revenge. I use acrylic because I can't stand to wait for oils to dry and acrylic tend to have brighter colours and they dry faster and enable me to layer the paint with out mixing colours. When women look at my paintings I hope they can identify themselves in them or the woman they would like to be. When men look at the paintings I hope to provoke passion or fear.
