Bauçan, poet of images, of music and words. Born in Montreal, in 1968. Self-taught, he left college to create full time. In his twenties, he found with Luc Courchesne the art regroupement " Le Cénacle de l'Étendard ", who become in same time an a books edition of poetry. He published there two books and participated in many poetry collectives. Between some readings of poetry, he recorded an album under an independent label and produce an short cut movie. Eager d'aventure, he explore the Baffin Island and inch heack across Canada. At 24 years old, during it first trip in Europe, he exhibit his paintings in an art gallery in Pont-Aven, Britanny (the same town where Gauguin lived). A few years later, he invented and constructed an antique photographic camera, made from paper, that functions with a real 35mm negative. After having sold his invention to the company Wrebbit, he traveled for three years, from Czech Republic to North Africa.
His art ______ For him, each tree is a piece of art, because his creation are from energy (not from a bring)… It's from this principle that he tries to create as much as possible with his inner energy. His vision being just to maintain a balance between color and contrast.
Each of his paintings tries to be a fruit, sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter, feeding as much as he can the eyes and the heart of the ones who look at them…
