EROTIC ART FESTIVAL OF MONTREAL, 2013

You are cordially invited to submit an application to participate in the main exhibition of the seventh edition of the Montreal Erotic Art Festival organized by the Quebec Art Council (Conseil des artistes québécois - CAQ). The objectives of the Festival are to positively promote sensuality, eroticism and beauty through different artistic disciplines: visual arts, dance, performances, fashion shows, music, video, movies, arts, body painting, etc. . This is a unique opportunity to promote the arts and values of an evolving society.

The Erotic Art Festival Montreal will be presented in late August in various locations in Montreal. With a rich and diverse programming and amazing partners involved, the dates and locations will be sent in the coming weeks. This appeal concerns the main exhibition of the Festival.

For this seventh edition, the Festival collaborates with, among other partners, Erotic Signature - The World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today, Fetish Weekend, VIP, Sexapalooza to present a rich selection of artists and bring them on the international scene. Andy Nulman, President of Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival, the English part of the Just for Laughs Festival will, for the fourth consecutive year, the honorary chairman of the event.

 


How to submit your Call for entries

There is no fee charged for submitting your application for the Festival nor to exhibit.

Step 1
Make sure you send your submission to: festival.art.erotique.montreal@hotmail.com

Step 2
When you submit you work to participate in the festival... in the Subject box, enter your discipline:

Festival - Submission - Visual Arts - I accept the agreement (see step 3)
or: Festival - Submission - Fashion
or: Festival - Submission - Performance
Eetc:. sculpture, design, literature, burlesque, body painting, theater, movies, etc..

Step 3
Take a look at the exhibition contract between the visual artist and the CAQ. The contract is for visual 2d artists, but this contract will still give a good idea for the other disciplines of what we are looking for and how we work... Different contracts for different disciplines will be available after the artists has been accepted in the Festival.

At the beginning of your email, please indicate:

Last name, First name
Artist name if necessary
Address, City, Zip code and country if other than Canada

Step 5
Include your artistic statement and resume in Word format (doc or. Docx.)

Step 6
The images you send must be in .jpg format and named as follows:

Last Name-first name-title-year-medium-support-size-price

For example:
Barker-Jennifer-Lee-angel-over-of-the-sea-2009-acrylic-canvas-20x30cm-450

Do not put accents, coma or spaces: * & ", @ [,. ect in the file name!.

Ideally, the images should be about 200k. If necessary, we will ask you better print quality. For promotional use (flyer, posters, other).

For other disciplines, the files will be named similarly and must not exceed 15MB, for larger files, arrangements must be made.

Submissions that send us to a site are not considered.

Step 7
Make sure the selected works are available for sale and equipped with metal wire to be hung. If one or more of your works are selected for the exhibit, they must be properly packed and delivered to the place determined. (when you are selected we will give you these details).

Step 8
Only selected artists will be notified.

General Information
Clauses appearing in the agreement between the artist and the CAQ for the event

- The artist keeps 70% on the sale of his works, and 30% will go to the CAQ.
- The artist insures their pieces. The CAQ will not be liable for any loss or damage of works of the artist.
- The artist assign its copyright on the works exhibited only for the purpose of promoting the erotic arts festivals organized by the Council or archive it on the Internet or other media reasons.

Please note : This is a huge event and the organisation is huge... considering this, please be sure to complete fully your submission as requested, before sendng it to us... make sure we have all the information needed, including all info for the art and artist.
